Altquid, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively “Nowadays,” “us,” “we,” or “our”) operates the Nowadays mobile application and the website https://www.nowadays.so (collectively, our “Services”). The Services allow users to share photos and videos on the home screens of their friends’ phones and to connect with others they might know.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect, process, share, and safeguard Personal Data in connection with the Services. It also explains your rights and choices regarding your Personal Data, and how you can contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Some features may be disabled depending on your location to comply with local laws.
2. Personal Data We Collect
We collect “Personal Data” (information related to an identified or identifiable individual) about you from different sources. This does not include data where personally identifiable information has been removed (such as anonymous data).
A. Personal Data You Provide to Us
• Account information: When you create an account with us, we collect your phone number, email address, full name, and birthday (day and month).
• Contact information of your friends: With your permission, we may access your mobile contact list (including phone numbers and names) to help you connect with people you know on Nowadays.
• Photos and videos: When you choose to send a photo or video through the Nowadays widget, you provide us with that photo or video and associated metadata (e.g., file type, size, and the time it was taken).
• Correspondence and other communications: When you contact us via email, social media, or other means, you provide us with your name, email address, telephone number, and the content of your communications.
• Payment information: If you make payments in connection with the Services, our third-party payment processor(s) will collect and process the financial information necessary (e.g., name, payment card, billing information). We do not have access to your full payment card information.
• Chat messages and reactions: When you send messages or reactions to friends on Nowadays, we receive those communications. We may review them if a user reports a potential trust or safety violation or if required under applicable laws or our Terms and Conditions.
Where you provide Personal Data of third parties (e.g., people in your mobile contact list), it is your responsibility to inform them that you are sharing their information with us and to confirm they have given permission.
B. Information Collected via Automated Means
• Device data: We collect information about your device, including the operating system type and version, manufacturer and model, browser type, device type (e.g., phone, tablet), IP address, unique identifiers, language settings, mobile carrier, radio/network information (e.g., WiFi, LTE, 4G), and approximate location (e.g., city, state).
• Usage data: We receive and store data about how you interact with our Services, including pages or screens viewed, time spent on pages or screens, navigation paths, browsing history, access times, and duration of access.

C. Information We Receive from Third Parties
• Social media platforms: We maintain pages on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram). • Mobile contacts: If someone who uses Nowadays has granted us permission to access their mobile contact list, we may collect and process the phone numbers of those contacts.
3. How We Use Your Personal Data
We use your Personal Data for the following purposes:
• To provide the Services: We use your Personal Data to operate, maintain, and provide you with the functionalities of Nowadays, including creating and using your account, adding contacts, and sharing photos on friends’ devices.
• To provide special features: We may create special features, such as anniversary collages made from your uploaded photos, as a legitimate interest in improving your experience.
• To enable contact syncing: With your consent, we may access your mobile contact list to find and connect you with people you know on Nowadays and to invite new users easily.

• To communicate about our Services: We may send announcements, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.

You can use Nowadays to share photos and videos with friends. Once a photo or video is sent, it cannot be deleted from a recipient’s phone, so please be careful about what you share.
5. Your Rights and Choices
A. Opt-Out of Marketing Communications
You may opt out of marketing emails by following the “unsubscribe” instructions in those communications or by contacting us at contact@nowadays.so. You may still receive non-marketing communications related to the Services.
B. Limit Online Tracking

C. Personal Data Requests
Depending on your location and interactions with our Services, you may have the following rights:
• To know how we process your Personal Data (as detailed in this Policy).

• To request correction of inaccurate or outdated Personal Data.
• To request deletion of Personal Data that we no longer need to provide the Services or for other lawful purposes. You can delete your account in your account settings.
• To receive your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format or request the transfer of that data to another company.
• To opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of Personal Data for targeted advertising. We share information with third-party advertising partners as described herein, which may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under certain laws.
